Julie Fukuhara's Bio
Julie Fukuhara is a loan officer at Stern Mortgage Company specializing in residential refinance and purchase loans. She joined her father, Rick, and the rest of the Stern Mortgage team in 2002. In 2003, she was recognized as one of the “Top Loan Originators” in the United States by a leading industry trade journal. In 2007, her husband, Pete Fukuhara, became Rick’s new protégé and began training to become another loan officer for the company.
Upon graduating Cum Laude from Claremont McKenna College, she was chosen to participate in the highly selective Management Training Program at Wells Fargo Bank, where she worked as a Personal Banker honing her skills in finance.
Julie is a member of the California Association of Mortgage Brokers (CAMB), as well as the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB). She is a licensed Real Estate Broker, and has earned her certification as a Mortgage Planning Specialist recognizing her as an expert in the area of mortgage planning, cash flow management, and real estate equity management.
Born and raised in Palo Alto, Julie remains a devoted member of her community. She has served on the board of directors for the Kiwanis Club of Palo Alto and the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce, and is active in committees for both organizations. Julie has also been involved in her local Toastmasters Club, and upon completing the Toastmaster International Communication and Leadership Program, she received the Competent Toastmaster Award. In addition, she participates in committee work at the Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club.
Julie works hard to make the mortgage process simple for her clients. She listens to understand who they are, want they want, and what they need in order to create customized solutions for their unique mortgage lending needs. Her mission is to help her clients carry out debt management strategies in order to build wealth and achieve financial freedom.
Outside of work, she stays busy gardening, painting, and doing various creative art projects. She and her husband Pete share a love for playing golf and caring for their dog, Turbo. When time permits, they enjoy taking trips to Lake Tahoe, or vacationing in Maui.
